Big smiles all round at our first Interfaith Family Fun Day since the pandemic, which rounded off Scottish Interfaith Week 2022! Over 300 people joined us at Hillhead Primary School for an afternoon of good food, chat, and fun.

At the heart of this event were faith tables where children and their families learned about different religious traditions through craft activities. And, alongside face-painting, henna, chess, and our ever popular “try it on” stand, we were lucky enough to be joined by Sham Heritage Troupe, a group of Syrian dancers, and the brilliant Adnan Shamdin playing his Kurdish baglama.

One attendee perfectly summed up how we all felt after this event: “Really moved – makes me love living in Glasgow.” Huge thanks to the team of volunteers who made this event possible – including those from Glasgow’s diverse faith communities and Interfaith Glasgow’s Weekend Club team.
