Interfaith Glasgow and WSREC are happy to announce the EXCITING OPPORTUNITY to sign up for our ‘Stepping into Diversity’ Youth Filmmaking Project.
If you’re a young person and you want to get involved in making short films about diverse experiences of faith in Glasgow, then this project is for you! The opportunity is open to 14-17yr olds, but don’t worry if you’re not quite in that bracket, you can still apply. The project will focus on building trust, friendship, and mutual learning about one another’s different faith traditions and places of worship, and also thinking about the role of religion in and around Glasgow.
By early 2014 the group will have put together two short films; one giving an insight into the faith experiences of young people in Glasgow, and another showcasing positive examples of interfaith work.
Along the way there will be opportunities to pick up a variety of skills for the future to boost your CV, including team-building, communication skills, filmmaking, leadership, etc. There are also a number of ways that those who come on board can gain awards which recognise their achievements.
What’s more, the project is bound to be a lot of fun, and you’ll meet a bunch of new people!
Fill in the application form here if you would like to get involved, or if you’d just like more information. You can also contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a form, more information, or if you’d like to meet the youth workers running the project before you sign up!
If you have problems with the online application, you can also download a form here and send the completed form via snailmail to: Interfaith Glasgow, 523 Shields Road, Glasgow, G41 2RF
