Keeping the Kindness: How do we Nurture Community Spirit?

Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 6 – 8:30 PM UTC

At this event, we will be focussing in on this outpouring of other-regarding action and asking how we ensure that we don’t lose it as the pandemic wears on and various factors threaten to divide us. Moreover, it’s one thing to be good in a crisis, but how can we foster kindness in our ‘ordinary’ lives, once the pandemic is behind us? Join us to hear speakers reflect on these questions from a variety of different faith perspectives and to discuss your own ideas with people from different backgrounds in small ‘break-out rooms’, so that together we can try and keep the kindness!

Hope for the Future

Tuesday, November 10, 2020 4 – 6:30 PM UTC

Hosted by Interfaith Scotland and Interfaith Glasgow.

The final event in a 3-part interactive online series organised by the Interfaith Liaison Committee to the UNFCCC,
“Faiths Unite: Visions for Transformative Climate Action.” As we reach the time of what should have been the COP26 in Glasgow, this session will offer a space for dialogue on faith-based
climate action. We will share and reflect on stories of hope in action from faith communities confronting the climate crisis around the world. The session will offer interactive opportunities for participants, facilitating connections and raising motivation for the year ahead.

Interfaith Storytime Series:

Join Interfaith Glasgow during Scottish Interfaith Week as we go live on Facebook for our special Interfaith Storytime series! We will be hosting authors from different faith backgrounds who have written wonderful, diverse children’s books. Our guests will read their books live and participate in Q&A – comment with your questions, they’ll be delighted to answer! Visit on the 9th, 12th, and 13th of November at 4.30pm!

Cook and Connect

Interfaith Glasgow’s Weekend Club is hosting a free Cook and Connect event during Scottish Interfaith Week this year. The session will include a cooking demonstration by our invited chefs and a discussion around the recipes shared. We will provide recipes beforehand so you can cook along at home. The event will be free and open to everyone – people from refugee backgrounds and anyone else who would like to attend.

Data top-ups will be available to those who do not have access to WiFi.
