Our next ‘Festivals Exchange’ event will take place on Thursday 7 January, 7-9pm and will offer the opportunity to witness a Muslim festival first hand. This festival will celebrate the Mawlid of the Prophet Muhammad at Zia-ul-Quran Mosque.
You are warmly invited by the Muslim community at Zia-ul Quran to witness an evening of religious songs, stories from the life of the Prophet Muhammad, and refreshments. People of all faiths and none are welcome and you will be met by members of the community upon arrival. Registration is essential. If you would like to attend, please register by emailing Kemal: email@example.com
This event is part of our ‘Festivals Exchange Programme’ which celebrates the rich religious and cultural diversity of the South East of Glasgow and fosters friendship-building and improved interfaith understanding by providing opportunities for people from different faith and belief backgrounds to gain a better understanding—and first-hand experience—of each other’s religious festivals. (The previous two festivals were celebrated at Glasgow Gurdwara and Gorbals Parish Church, respectively.)
